Consultancy and assistance services for the supervision of the construction works of the new high speed railway line Vitoria – Bilbao - San Sebastian. Section: Durango - Amorabieta/Etxano
The project involved the construction of 4,600 m of railway in the Durango – Amorebieta/Etxano section of the high-speed line, of international gauge (1,435 mm) and 14 m wide. The main determinant of the route pattern was the complex orography of the area, which led to the construction of several tunnels and viaducts along this line section.
Among its most significant elements, the construction works included the following:
- The Larrinagatxu Viaduct (from km 0+000 to km 0+200) and San Andrés southern tunnel portal.
- Tunnels:suitable for double track, with cross-sectional areas of 85, 95 and 100 m2, to be executed by using the conventional tunneling method. The total length of tunnels is 2,426 m:
