Repair of the outer surface of 3 cryogenic LNG storage tanks. The repair works are conducted whilst the tanks are in use (volume : 100,000 m³/tank – Diameter : 65 meters – Height : 40 meters).

Design and intervention procedures

  • Detailed mapping of the stage of repair of the surfaces
  • Dismantling of the existing structures
  • Cold repair of the areas which are in a poor stage of repair and sealing of leak areas
  • SA 2.5 sand blasting of the whole shell (12,500 m²/tank)
  • Painting (2 layers + logos)
  • Putting in place the new dome structures (galvanized steel)
  • End of works demobilization
