Aiming to counter the lack of water in the country, this study aims to improve drinking water supply to populations within conditions that ensure the profitability and financial stability of the urban hydraulics sub-sector.

The project consisted of:

The collection and diagnosis of the existing infrastructures, including 8,240,880 km of distribution networks, 550 km of feeders, 21 ground tanks with capacities ranging from 5,000 to 15,000 m³, 72 water towers with capacities ranging from 50 to 3,200m³, 107 village carboys, 140 drillings with flows from 200 to 350m³/h, 5 treatment plants from 1,500 to 130,000 m³/h; analysis of consumption history; evaluation of needs/resources, designing alternative master plans (production, storage and distribution), evaluation of master plans costs
