Study for the design of a 35-km highway, with a design speed of 120 km/h, in order to improve connections among the villages of the central area of Ciudad Real, as well as between these villages and Albacete
The preliminary design included: a 35-km double-track highway, in mountainous area, with a design speed of 120 km/h; 9 connections to the existing villages and roads; 39 structures, including 5 viaducts, 30 overpasses and 4 underpasses; an economical and financial feasibility study to ensure the viability of the project under a 30-year concession agreement.
For these purposes, the project involved: cartography; study of alternatives and final alignment; geological and geotechnical surveys; studies on hydrology and drainage; design of structures, health and safety at work studies; construction budget; Bill of Quantities; drawings and other construction details.
