In the context of the development of the ZAC EuroRennes in Rennes, Territoires & Développement has launched the rehabilitation and extension works for the southern parking station.
With the ambition of making the Rennes area a real European metropolis, the urban project EuroRennes involves the reconfiguration of 58 hectares near the city centre. One of the main challenges is to foster links between the north and the south of the city in order to erase the historical rupture linked to the railway line crossing the city. But the heart of the project is the transformation of the station in a Multimodal Exchange Cluster by 2020, in order to respond to two major events: the arrival of the Britanny high speed line, linking Paris to Rennes in 1h27 and the commissioning of the 2nd subway line.
In this future business district, the mission of TPF Ingénierie includes project management for the rehabilitation and extension of the existing parking in the strategic management zone “Gare de Rennes”, offering 1,200 additional parking spaces. The complexity of the studies lies in the fact that the parking will be topped by three 8-floor buildings for which we also have coordinated assignments including global seismic calculations.
