Technical assistance services for the quality control of the works for the expansion of the Catalan Government Railway Line to Terrassa. Infrastructure, track superstructure and catenary. Section: Terrassa -Rambla Tunnel / Can Roca, and RENFE Interchange Station (Spanish National Railway Network) and Can Roca Station.

The extension of the Catalan Government Railway Line to Terrassa will improve mobility in and out of Vallès. In this way, the project contemplates the creation of a metro network to ameliorate connections between the region of Vallès and Barcelona metropolitan area.

The works comprise the construction of three new stations in the city: UPC-Vallparadís, RENFE interchange station and Can Roca, to bring public transport closer to the historical center, the university campus and the northern area of the city, which is experiencing rapid growth.

The new section of the line, 4.5 km long, will include two tunnels with an I.D. of 6 m each, separated by a 14 m distance and excavated by using two TBM. Once the works are completed, Vallès metro is expected to carry about 32,000 passengers a day, which means that the current number of passengers will be doubled.

Value of the construction works: € 235,000,000
