The construction of this new aquatic complex (beginners’pool and sports pool, changing room areas, cafetaria and technical rooms) on the Loncin site aims to develop and improved sporting facilities across the city.

The building will stand out due to its structure composed of a roof in laminated wood supported by circular columns in concrete. The main façade is entirely glazed and all of the lower roofs are green roofs. The 2 pool tanks (25 x 15 m and 15 x 15 m) are in stainless steel with decking around the edges. We should highlight that the sustainable aspect of the construction has not been forgotten. For a well-controlled investment aiming to encourage savings in energy, the insulation level of the building (K28) has been optimised with the environment and the potential performances of the existing swimming pool.
